It's the beats and the lyrics they fear...

Ho, ho, ho – England play and Christmas comes early... well – apart from the whole Theo thing – which, interestingly has changed in the media from a challenge by West Ham's Scott Parker to some slippy wet turf catching him by suprise... Scott escapes 'Scot free' – Stoke still get a mention though even though it was his other shoulder!

Anyway – Back to England (In-ger-land) and Germany; I did get on it, in fact I rather 'lumped on' in the % stakes on our lads to smash the Hun... blah.  It was a shitty game and it was clear from the anthems with the telling camera sweep of the players that something was up.  Terry looked a total smug cunt – although that could literally mean anything; the German boys though were glancing about a bit sheepish at the 70,000 fairly well educated and astute football fans who had turned out to see their team play.

Ohhh – an them German fans can smell (but not see) a rat just as well as the English fans can when their team 'underperforms'... speaking of which – where was that fucking band last night banging out the theme from the great escape ad nauseam?

So, anyway – my reasoning right for lumping on the England was this:
1) I assumed that the match was going to be bent.
2) There was little media build up to the match.
3) All media build up (that I could find) had negatively 'tuned' headline and pictures of unhappy England players.
4) John Terry looked smug as fuck.
5) The Gerry Germans looked apologetic.
I could have been wrong, I often am, but all the signs were there... classic misdirection from the media - you will notice that when England are not due to 'do so well' then the papers will be full of positive headlines and pictures of celebration and vice versa.  I doubt that this is a coincidence – and I think that misdirection is something all leisure punters should take into consideration.

Now check this out...uggh:
They want your cash.
You want their cash.
They have chums right across the sports/media/gambling industry.
You don't.
They think you're stupid.
I think you can learn.
They want to sell you dreams.
I want you to wake up.
Ahem, anyway - someone who certainly didn't get away 'Scot Free' last night was Scott Carson – Scott was made to look like a tool in the name of theatre last night when smuggy smuggy smug smug smugged the ball to the edge of the area before doing smug all while, on cue, 'totally unbeknownst to Captain Smug' Helmes slithered in to bring the game level and put a blip in the tedium... Carson, rightly looked furious.  The commentators then proceeded to hold him responsible... Calamity James and Captain Smug were no doubt pissing themselves over that one post match!

Captain smug then smuged in a smuggy goal to bring a rather smug end to the whole smug show – but not before appearing for his media curtain call in which he was praised for taking full responsibility for the Germany goal... what – praised for making an 'error' that a little league defender would be ashamed of?

Eh?

Smug fucking cunt... thanks for the cash though – and @ 3.9 too, get in my son!

In-ger-land, In-ger-land, In-ger-land!
