He ain't no gentleman Jim

Oh dearie, dearie me... well, despite the result I though the game was a really good one in terms of the fact it was competitive and the best team on the day won.  In a way I really enjoyed it... well – apart from the result, but it was great to see some proper competitive 1st team football again after weeks of frustrating pretend football.

We were beat, fair and square and there was no dodgyness... I say that but if anything Wiley was giving us the 'rub of the green' as it were and we still couldn't win!

This is where players with 'experience' can certainly help i.e. if you can get away with bending the rules then bend them to your advantage – like so many others do against us... saying that – I would have been rather disappointed if we did as I regard myself as a fan of 'football' rather than a fan of 'winning'.

Let's check out what team Le Boss went with to the Wastlands:

Almunia,
Hoyte Djourou Silvestre Clichy
Nasri Denilson Song Billong Diaby
Van Persie Bendtner

Subs:

Fabianski
Gibbs Lansbury
Wilshere Ramsey
Simpson Vela

I mean... it's not exactly a team and/or bench to instil fear in your opponent is it?  Wenger made a cock up.  Wenger listened to all the shit in the press and effectively let The Sun pick our first 11... and while we are on the subject – we badly missed Willaim Gallas at the weekend – ok we played some great football first half but when we went a goal down and out backs were to the wall it was evident that there was absolutely no leadership in the squad to pick the players up and drive everyone forward.  Gallas has been routinely crucified by the newspapers since his sit down protest at the Birmingham game and I believe that he is being punished and made an example of for not sticking to the script.  The media want shot of him, from Arsenal and from the EPL – but, instead of agreeing like good little piggies we should ask ourselves why?  What are the motivations and what are the agendas?

John Terry is routinely caught playing in 'away colours' and allegedly refused to pay for a parking ticket after he used a disabled bay while he enjoyed an extended lunch (and fuck knows what else unreported) – yet the Currant Bun remains firmly planted up his arse and backs him to the hilt as the England/Chelsea 'captain fantastic'?!

Why?

Gallas is photographed with an unlit fag dangling from his gob and it's back page news for a week and have the audacity to paint him as a bad 'role model' with broad, clumsy sweeps of argument with a brush of blinkered morality?  Like chattering old gossip mongers they shout 'think of the kids' while simultaneously stealing the beautiful game from their hearts.

Why?

Wenger and the Arsenal first team players are targeted by a sustained media hate campaign of destabilisation that no other team has ever experienced?

Why?

Hacks and ex players who purport to be 'Arsenal through and through' yet are heavily linked with the bookmaking industry join forces to attribute blame and engineer incredulity in the fan-base in order to distract from the bigger issues as to 'why our season is going pear shaped' i.e. we are being targeted by the very industry that we are a part of for the crime of wanting the play football as best we can and, in consequence, create a more unpredictable environment for the lay better thus affecting, through that unpredictability, the bottom line of the bookmaking industry…

Why... oh yeah – I get it now.  Crafty!

Fuck the mainstream media – fuck them all, they are sycophantic lackeys to the gambling industry and repeatedly toadie up to their agenda in exchange for... what?  A few crumbs?  Personally I think that the gambling industry and the field of sports journalism have become so close as to be inseparable or at least indefinable as separate entities.

Meh... I tell you what though – I took a bath with my betting at the w/e... Fuckin' lumped on Arsenal right and stuck smaller lay bets on Chelsea and Liverpool – so I came out slightly down and then chased my mini losses with a lump on the Mancs in what I thought was a dead cert!

Man – lessons learned... begs the question though - what is Manure/SAF up to?  Why is/are he/they hanging back?  Also – WTF was Wenger playing at with a bench full of reserves?

I await read between the lines of the transcript from today's press conference; which incidentally SKY Sports are showing yet as a 'Fan' I have to pay for on Arsenal TV Online – fucking cunts, that's Kroenke for you that is!

Also yeah – as I'm pissed off, why give this away to the media to twist and not the fans to read for themselves?  While Sky were showing this; a book came up in the right hand panel, on the all round descent human being and great captain William Gallas:

William Gallas's club after January transfer window (By 31/01/09, no loans)
Arsenal 1/2
Any Other 6/4
What Will Gallas do first against Dynamo Kiev?
Carded 6/1
Score 9/1
Subbed 16/1
Concede Penalty 16/1
Score Own Goal 40/1
Cry On Pitch 100/1
Utter fucking gutter scum – shame on you!
